DM Development began the development process in mid-2019 by engaging in an extended period of early outreach, seeking input from the site’s closest neighbors (Showplace Square Lofts) and key community groups – including the Potrero Boosters, Grow Potrero Responsibly and the Potrero Dogpatch Merchants Association.
DM Development contemplated various project alternatives before opting for a 450-unit plan that offers a significant number of below-market-rate rental homes (182 in total), all of which are unsubsidized and thus do not require City or taxpayer funding to be built. The project will also generate over $11M in City and community supporting fees.
