In addition to our focus on providing housing for the “missing middle” by adding 450 homes at all levels of affordability to help alleviate the city’s chronic housing shortage, DM Development is also committed to developing meaningful community partnerships. DM Development has always prided itself on making impactful contributions to the communities we serve, and we expect to continue those efforts in Potrero Hill.

Local retailers, many of whom have faced significant struggles during the pandemic, will benefit from the significant influx of vitality in the neighborhood coming from the 450 new residents and retail and building workers. We are excited to partner with and support existing and new small businesses.

• We are proud to be a sponsor of this year’s Potrero Hill Festival, which supports the Potrero Hill Neighborhood House’s important work in the community. This is just the first step of what we hope will be a long-term, meaningful partnership and working with the Potrero Hill Neighborhood House for many years to come.
• We are also happy to support the essential efforts of the SF-Marin Food Bank to combat food insecurity, located just a few blocks from the project.
• Another partnership we are embarking on is our work with the San Francisco Parks Alliance to find a new home within the city for the two trains currently located on the rear of the site. Potential publicly available uses for recreation, retail, or café style uses are being considered, and we’re excited to help usher in a new era of enjoyment for the community to experience the trains.
